With the men’s soccer regular season winding down and conference titles being claimed, the time for state playoffs is quickly approaching.

The NCHSAA will release state playoff brackets on Friday with the first round beginning Oct. 30.

On Monday, Jordan-Matthews wrapped up the race for the Mid-Carolina 1A/2A conference, clinching the title with a 4-0 win over Seaforth.

The Jets will have an automatic bid while the rest of the Chatham County teams will be selected and seeded in the state playoffs based on their RPI.

RPI, or ratings percentage index, considers the winning percentage of a team, its opponents and its opponents’ opponents when determining how a team will be seeded.

Based on the RPI standings updated Tuesday morning for both 1A East and 2A East, all Chatham County schools would make their respective brackets. Here’s a breakdown of where they would likely be seeded.
