Athlete of the week: Jackson Powell

Seaforth’s Jackson Powell earns athlete of the week honors for the week of Sept. 30.

Powell, a senior, recorded two solo sacks in the Hawks’ 27-0 win over Chatham Central Friday, helping anchor a stout rushing defense that combined for 17 tackles for loss, including seven sacks.

Powell earned all-conference honors the past two seasons and has been a crucial piece to the Hawks’ early defensive success this year.
