William Bobby Justice, 87, of Siler City, passed away on Sunday, July 4, 2021, at UNC Hospice, Pittsboro.

Mr. Justice was born in Chatham County on October 10, 1933, the son of Jesse Allen and Ola Jones Justice. Bobby was a U.S. Navy veteran serving from May 18, 1952, to May 11, 1956. He served on the USS Collett in the South Pacific, patrolling the Formosa Straits during the Korean War. After being discharged from the Navy, he continued to work in California for the next 13 years before relocating back to North Carolina. While in California, Bobby received a Certificate of Supervision in Long Beach College. He also went to Barber school and worked as a barber. He retired from Boling Chair Company in Siler City, afterwards working for the Recycling Center and Advance Auto Parts Store.

Bobby enjoyed socializing with friends and family, playing trivia games and walking for exercise. He loved meeting his friends for dinner at Best Foods Cafeteria. The family thought it was appropriate that he died on July 4th because he was patriotic and proud of his service in the Navy.

Bobby is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Linda Kay Dorsett Justice; sons, Robert and Scott Justice; grandson, Andrew Justice Shan; brothers, Hoyt, Wilbur, Edward, Earl and Billy Justice; and sisters, Frances Arnold and twin sister Betty Holt.

He is survived by his daughter, Trudy D. Justice of Plano, Texas; brother, Franklin D. Justice and wife Doris of Siler City; sisters-in-law, Sarah Justice of Siler City, Geneva Justice of Hillsborough; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family received friends Tuesday, July 6, 2021, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home, 230 North Second Avenue, Siler City, and Wednesday, July 7, 2021, from 12 to 1:45 p.m. at Loves Creek Baptist Church, 1745 East 11th Street, Siler City, N.C.
