Marianna Dickerson Oldham, 77, of Bear Creek, passed away on Sunday, June 27, 2021, at her home.
The funeral was held on Wednesday, June 30, 2021, at 2 p.m. at Antioch Baptist Church with Pastor Mike Garner and Pastor Mike Fields presiding. The family received friends at the church prior to the service from 1 to 1:45 p.m.
She was born in Granville County on April 6, 1944, to John Thomas Dickerson and Fannie Fawcette Dickerson. She was an active member of Antioch Baptist Church and enjoyed participating in the Senior Saints. She owned and operated Pine Tree Outlet Golf Apparel. Marianna loved traveling and visiting places abroad. She loved her family and friends and spending time with them. In addition to her parents, Marianna was preceded in death by her grandson, Brandon Chavis; sisters, Jenny Russell, Thelma Douglas, Edna Barber and brothers, Walter Dickerson and Billy Dickerson.
Mrs. Oldham is survived by her husband of 60 years, George Wade Oldham of the home; daughters, Crystal Oldham of Siler City, Lesa Chavis of Bear Creek; sons, Stephen Todd Oldham (Mandy) of Siler City, Jeffrey Wade Oldham of the home; sisters, Jane Bridges of Franklinton, Betty Crews of Oxford; brothers, Thomas Dickerson (Mary) of Sanford, Tony Dickerson (Lisa) of Franklinton; grandchildren, Alyssa Oldham, Savanna Oldham; and a host of family and friends.
