Athlete of the week: Francisco Ibarra

Jordan-Matthews’ Francisco Ibarra earns athlete of the week honors for the week of Sept. 30.

Ibarra, a senior for the Jets’ boys’ soccer team, scored two goals in Jordan-Matthews’ 8-0 win over Cummings on Oct. 3. His scoring total tied with his teammate Andres Tepile for the team-high.

As a senior captain, Ibarra has played a crucial leadership role in the Jets’ success in conference play. He’s one of just three senior starters to return from last year’s team.
