SUZANNE WHITE

Suzanne White passed away on Monday, October 17, 2022, at the UNC Hospice Home, after a long fight with cancer. If you saw the lightning in the clouds about 7 p.m., that was Suza leaving this planet on her latest journey. Always a traveller, she influenced people and gardens in Santa Fe, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, and most recently Pittsboro.

An artist in heart and soul, her passion was gardening and all things natural. Her website was Suza’s Farm for Homeless Worms and Cats. She was Compost Queen! Her photography (Iphonography) invited views of nature in a most intimate way. Her car automatically stopped at all nurseries, always searching for the plant she must have.

She will be sorely missed by her friends here and across the nation. She is survived by her sister Lis Braun.

Donations in her honor may be made to The Nature Conservancy.
