Duo charged in breaking and entering case

In Nov. 2022, the Chatham County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area of Fayetteville Road in Goldston regarding a breaking and entering into a residence from which items were reported stolen. Investigators have since charged Kyuana Reaves, 43, and Jimmy Roger Thompson, Jr., 51, both of 215 Horton Road, Goldston, in relation to the crime.

Reaves faces one count of felony breaking and entering and one count of felony larceny after breaking and entering. Thompson is charged with two counts of felony breaking and entering and two counts of felony larceny after breaking and entering. Both are also charged with one count of injury to personal property.

Reaves was arrested on Jan. 6 and issued a written promise to appear in Chatham County District Court in Pittsboro on Jan. 30.
