To the Editor:
Lately there has been a lot said and written about Critical Race Theory being taught in schools. I would like to add my two cents: no, actually it was dollars from my taxes that were added.
Those teaching CRT in schools fail to include that information. My taxes were added to monthly welfare checks which increased in value with each new child born into the families receiving the checks. The poor in this nation also received monthly Food Stamps. The poor children in this nation received free school lunches and one group of poor children receives college grants paid for from the taxes of Americans. This brings up the question: How much and how long do Americans have to pay before they are considered redeemed?
When I was growing up I lived in several homes where the toilet was more than 10 feet from the house and there were days when there was very little food in the house. I worked for a living from age 18 to age 65. My privilege was being born in a free country.
When someone teaches a subject in school they should be truthful and include ALL the details. One such detail should be we are one race ranging from light beige to dark brown and our government should stop creating and passing bills, laws, and grants based on the lie there is more than one race. When the government creates and passes bills, laws, and grants based on the lie there is more than one race it promotes segregation and it must stop. The scripture proving we are all descendants of Noah (therefore, making us one race) can be found in Genesis in the King James Bible.
