1A East dual team playoffs
No. 6 Chatham Charter won by forfeit over No. 11 Roxboro Community in the first round on April 30.
2A East dual team playoffs
No. 9 Seaforth advanced to the third round after sweeping No. 8 North Lenoir 6-0 in the second round on April 30. The Hawks beat No. 24 Nash Central 6-0 in the first round.
No. 20 Northwood fell to No. 13 NCSSM: Durham 7-2 in the first round.
Individual state qualifiers (regionals were on May 2-3): Joaquin Hernandez-Gonzalez (Seaforth, 2A singles); Thomas Bjork (Chatham Charter, 1A singles)
The individual state championships will run from May 9-10. The 1A tournament will be held at Cary Tennis Park and the 2A tournament will take place at Ting Park Tennis Complex in Holly Springs.
Track and Field
Seaforth won the boys’ Mid-Carolina 1A/2A conference title at Cummings on April 30. The Hawks scored 168.5 points as a team, and Northwood’s boys finished second with 115 points.

Girls’ Soccer
Seaforth extended its win streak to 12 games and clinched its third straight Mid-Carolina 1A/2A conference title with wins over North Moore (7-0), Southeast Alamance (5-0) and Panther Creek (2-0). Freshman Amara Darden combined for seven goals during the week (five against North Moore).
Woods Charter bounced back from its loss to Franklin Academy with three straight shut outs over Clover Garden School (7-0) and Triangle Math and Science (12-0 and 9-0). Sophomore Lucy Poitras recorded five goals in the double-digit win over the Tigers.
Northwood finished its conference slate with a 9-0 win over Cummings on April 29.

Boys’ Lacrosse
Seaforth’s win streak grew to five after the Hawks swept Williams during the week (12-3 on April 28 and 13-5 Friday). Junior Ivan Grimes and sophomore Oscar Ditter scored four goals each Friday.

Seaforth picked up its largest win of the year with a 21-1 rout over Jordan on April 30. Sophomore Natalie Boecke led the way with seven goals. Boecke also led the Hawks with seven goals in a 17-6 win over Carrboro on April 28.
