CLIFFORD BRYCE HOLT

Clifford Bryce Holt, 96, of Siler City, passed away on November 12, 2021, at Randolph Hospice House.

Bryce was born in Chatham County on November 11, 1925, the son of Newby and Carrie Lee Johnson Holt. He was a faithful member of Rives Chapel Baptist Church all of his life, and served in numerous positions in the church. He retired from the U.S. Post Office. Bryce was a member of the Lions Club for over 50 years, and was still helping them distribute flags at 90 years old.

In addition to his parents, Bryce is preceded in death by his wives, Dorothy Bowers Holt and Kay McDaniel Holt; daughter, Brenda Holt Oldham; and son, Bobby Holt.

Bryce is survived by his son, Mike Holt and wife Gwen of Siler City; step-children, Ted McDaniel, Randy McDaniel and Karen McDaniel Garner; and grandchildren, Beverly Holt-Pilkey, Todd Holt, and Dennis Oldham.

Memorials may be made to the Rives Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 4338 Rives Chapel Church Rd., Siler City, N.C. 27344.

Mr. Holt Laid in Repose on Monday, November 15, 2021, from 12 to 5 p.m. at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home, 230 N. Second Ave., Siler City. The family received friends on Tuesday, November 16, 2021, from 1 to 2 p.m. followed by a graveside service at 2 p.m. at Rives Chapel Baptist Church, with Dr. Tripp Foltz officiating.
